Digital Transformation in CNC Machining – Case Studies on the Siemens Mcenter Platform
Keywords:
digitalization, Siemens Mcenter, data-driven manufacturing, CNC tool management, NC program managementAbstract
The aim of this publication is to demonstrate, through real industrial examples, what commonly used - and often buzzword-like - concepts such as digitalization, Industry 4.0, and data-driven manufacturing actually mean in practice.
Through case studies based on the Siemens Mcenter platform, we explore how digital transformation is realized at various levels of CNC machining, with particular focus on the lifecycle tracking of machine tools, managing NC programs, and monitoring productivity indicators in real time.
