Design of a Decision Support System Based on Welding Fumes Analysis
Keywords:
welding fumes, risk analysis, fuzzy modelAbstract
Ensuring the safety and health of workers is an critical concerntoday. However, monitoring these aspects requires a significant amount of human resources, thus, IT systems are commonly used. Thanks to these systems, a vast amount of data is available, which can be used for statistical analysis. The aim of this paper is to develop a fuzzy model that estimates the exposure of a welder based on quantifiable parameters (such as welding fumes concentration) during the welding process. This model supports decision-making processes regarding worker health protection and may facilitate future interventions.
