The 60-year history of the Department of Manufacturing Technology

Abstract

The Department of Manufacturing Technology's 60-year history is presented in this article. One of the departments in our university that has a big influence on instruction and research in the field is the Department of Manufacturing Technology. Its efforts have contributed to upholding the standing of the Bánki training in addition to increasing academic quality. The Department has experienced numerous organizational and professional changes over the past few decades, but its research fields have kept pace with technical advancements and its teaching activities have consistently been of the highest caliber. Over the course of its six-decade existence, the Department of Production Technology has been instrumental in training and doing research in higher education. Its research and teaching endeavors have helped to preserve and improve the standing of the Faculty of Technology, which was established in 1879 and served as the model for the Bánki. The appointment of two Directors General, three Deputy Directors General for Science, one Deputy Director General for Education, one Dean, and two Deputy Deans to Bánki by the Department serves as an example of this.
