Department of Manufacturing Technology at Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering, Óbuda University, has a rich 60-year history, during which it has played a pivotal role in Hungarian engineering education and manufacturing technology. Throughout the decades, the department has significantly contributed to the advancement of the field, consistently aligning its educational and research activities with emerging technological trends. In honor of the department’s anniversary, a special issue of the Bánki Közlemények journal was published, summarizing its history, achievements, and the contributions of those faculty members who have driven its success over the years.
